Pollution and environmental contamination are a concrete threat to human and ecological wellbeing. By favoring cleaner transport options we can quickly effect improvements in air quality and environmental purity. The use of vehicles that burn cleaner fuels such as natural gas would reduce carbon dioxide emissions from traffic by one fourth.

Natural gas is pure energy. It is a low-emissions fuel that does not contain sulfur, particulates or heavy metals. The carbon dioxide emissions of NGVs are approximately one fourth lower than those of gasoline-fuelled cars. Compared to diesel vehicles, benefits include lower particulate emissions. Natural gas contains the same material as refined and upgraded biogas methane. Natural gas increases the possibilities for using natural gas vehicles and thus also biogas.
