CNG
Gasum’s filling stations sell compressed natural gas (CNG) meant for traffic use. CNG is an eco-friendly and natural gas vehicles are silent. Around the world it has been used as vehicle fuel for more than 50 years. CNG is compressed into vehicles’ gas tanks at a pressure of approximately 200 bars. It is stored in steel, fiber-reinforced aluminum or composite tanks.
Gasum’s stations do not sell liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). In practice, natural gas is methane (CH4), whereas LPG is propane (C3H8) or a propane-butane compound (C4H10). Therefore these two fuels are completely different.
