New talent to join Gasum Executive Management Group

Following the adoption of the Gasum Group’s new strategy, there will be changes in the company organization and the composition of the Gasum Executive Management Group (EMG). Three new directors have been appointed to the EMG.

As of September 1, 2015, the operations of the Gasum Group will be organized under the following business units: Natural Gas, Biogas, LNG, and Technical Services.

Jouni Haikarainen, MSc, (b. 1965) has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Natural gas and member of the EMG. He will begin in his position on October 1, 2015. Haikarainen has previously worked for the energy company Fortum's Heat, Electricity Sales and Solutions Division as Vice President for Finland and the Baltic countries.

Jukka Metsälä, MSc, MBA, (b. 1979) has been appointed as Vice President, Biogas and member of the EMG as of September 1, 2015. Metsälä's current position with Gasum is Head of Business Unit, Biogas and Transport Solutions.

Lasse Aarnio, MSc (Econ.), (b. 1962) has been appointed as Gasum’s CFO and member of the EMG. He will begin in his position on November 1, 2015. Aarnio has previously served as CFO for the freight management company Containerships Group.

We’re seeking growth through our renewed strategy, in which the customers are at the core. To meet our targets, we’ve renewed our organization and strengthened our Executive Management Group by bringing in these new professionals.
