Gasum biogas plants awarded quality system certificate by DNV GL

Gasum’s Honkajoki, Huittinen, Kuopio, Oulu and Riihimäki biogas plants have been awarded a quality system certificate according to the ISO 9001 standard by DNV GL starting from January 2017. The activities of the biogas plants have been integrated into Gasum’s certified quality system.

The purpose and aim of the Gasum quality system is to develop systematic approaches for the continuous development of operations and, in particular, the fulfilment of customer expectations, requirements and needs. Customers and their expectations are always at the core of our attention.

Gasum is the Nordic countries’ leading gas player and a processer of biodegradable waste and other biomasses as well as producer of biogas and recycled nutrients.

The Gasum Group’s 12 biogas plants are located in Huittinen, Honkajoki, Kuopio, Oulu, Riihimäki, Turku and Vehmaa, Finland, and Jordberga, Katrineholm, Lidköping, Örebro and Västerås, Sweden. In addition, Gasum has a 50% shareholding in Vadsbo Biogas in Sweden. Gasum also produces biogas with its partners in Espoo, Kouvola and Lahti, Finland.

Gasum also operates in nutrient partnership with Soilfood in the manufacture of recycled nutrients. Soilfood processes digestates from biogas production into recycled fertilizers for agriculture.
