Gasum has opened a gas filling station in Jyväskylä

The Jyväskylä gas filling station was opened to gas vehicle users on Thursday August 17, 2017 at Metsälehmuksentie road.

Gasum has opened a gas filling station in Ruokosaari, Jyväskylä. Compressed biogas (CBG) and natural gas (CNG) are available from the new station to fuel cars, delivery vehicles, waste management vehicles and buses. The liquefied natural gas (LNG) also available from the station is suitable for heavy-duty vehicles.

Gasum has received Connecting Europe Facility support to explore the opportunities to construct a refueling station network for heavy-duty vehicles in particular and the deployment and testing of four pilot stations. In addition to the Jyväskylä station now opened, there are already LNG filling stations in use in Vuosaari, Helsinki, and near the Port of Turku. The next LNG filling station will be opened in Tuupakka, Vantaa, during September 2017.

Switch to 100% Finnish and renewable biogas to fuel your vehicle

Gasum’s special campaign for private customers offers biogas for a fixed monthly price of €89. The campaign is aimed at new and current customers who buy a new or used car from a car dealer or import a gas-fueled car during the campaign period.

Biogas offered by Gasum is a renewable and 100% Finnish biofuel produced from biodegradable waste sourced from homes, retail outlets and industry. Using biogas as a road vehicle fuel is an easy way to reduce emissions. Biogas is the only road fuel sold in Finland that has been awarded the Made in Finland Key Flag Symbol as well as the Nordic Ecolabel.

The address of Jyväskylä’s Ruokosaari filling station is Metsälehmuksentie 9. The official opening ceremony of the gas filling station will take place in conjunction with an opening seminar on Monday, September 11, 2017.
