Upcoming gas filling stations

Jaa:

We are actively developing the biogas and natural gas filling station network and aim to increase the number of Gasum stations by 35 new ones over the next ten years. The demand for clean and affordable road fuel gas is increasing sharply all the time, and opportunities to switch to gas as a road fuel are further improved by the growing station network.

Gasum is investing in the construction of around 50 gas filling stations for heavy-duty vehicles in Finland, Sweden and Norway by the beginning of the 2020s. Finland’s first LNG station was opened in Vuosaari, Helsinki, in August 2016.

Upcoming filling stations and estimated schedules

  • Oulu, Limingantulli (2018)

We are also planning gas filling stations to other locations in Finland including Helsinki metropolitan area, Turku, Seinäjoki and Kuopio. Gasum gas filling stations also to be constructed in conjunction with IKEA stores in Finland in the coming years.

Biogas and natural gas stations also with LNG refueling for heavy-duty vehicles

  • Lahti, Kujala (2018), LNG and CNG

  • Oulu, Äimärautio (2018), LNG

Upcoming filling stations in Sweden

New gas filling stations in Swedish regions: Västerbotten, Norrbotten, Värmland, Västernorrland, Gävleborg, Örebro, Västmanland, Uppsala, Västra Götaland, Östra Götaland, Jönköping, Kronoberg and Skåne.

”Gasum wants to promote cleaner road transport by constructing 35 new gas filling stations. The foundation for the filling station network is provided by the current gas infrastructure, developing LNG market and regional biogas production. The key criteria for our filling station investments are demand, location, technical feasibility and management of operational and maintenance operating models.”
