Ari’s thoughts on cleaner energy
In the 1980s, our concerns revolved around health issues caused by particulate emissions and acid rain from sulfur emissions. During this period, natural gas emerged as the primary solution to combat these challenges. However, things have changed dramatically since then.
With climate change posing a significant threat to the well-being of future generations, the imperative now lies in embracing biogas. Renewable fuels have become a necessity. When Gasum first presented biogas to our customers, no one was interested, mostly because of the price. Despite initial lack of demand for biogas, the tide has turned. Today, biogas is both economically viable and contributes to achieving sustainability goals. It is also an optimal way of handling waste, creating a circular economy. On top of this, we are continuously working on developing additional clean solutions, such as e-methane.
In order to successfully navigate the energy transition effectively and sustainably, it is essential to stay sharp and competitive in the dynamic energy market. This involves making well-informed decisions and being flexible in response to fluctuations in volatile markets and prices. More and more companies are seeking risk mitigation strategies in the market, which can lead to significant advantages. Those who receive expert guidance in this area will ultimately emerge as the winners.
