Gasum launches renewed strategy

Focus is on scaling up biogas and transforming operations to drive sustainable growth.

Gasum has launched a renewed strategy for the years 2026–2030. The strategy renewal process was launched in the latter half of 2025 due to significant changes in the energy market environment in recent years.

The strategy, named Accelerate, aims at capturing value and growth more rapidly in an expanding sustainable energy market. It is designed to position Gasum at the forefront of the Nordic sustainable energy journey.

The strategy is centered around three strategic priorities to improve efficiency and profitability and to build an organization ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that will arise in a constantly changing energy landscape. Gasum aims to create value & growth by collaborating with customers, scale up biogas production and sourcing to capture the growth of the biogas market by 2030 and transform operations & performance to enable value creation across the entire energy value chain.

This transformation is expected to improve efficiency, profitability and ability to respond to market developments, supporting Gasum’s long-term growth objectives. With biogas demand set to outpace supply by 2030, Gasum plans to reliably deliver increasing volumes of biogas in the years ahead.

With the new strategy Gasum continues its commitment to helping customers reduce emissions and offer low-emission services as well as to drive the energy transition together with partners.
