Pink Lady Transport: paving the way with liquefied biogas
A strong commitment to climate goals and future-proof transport solutions has led Pink Lady Transport to choose liquefied biogas (LBG or bio-LNG) for its asphalt deliveries. Founder Jessica Nyberg’s decision to invest in a gas-powered truck reflects a growing demand for fossil-free transport across Sweden.
When Jessica Nyberg founded Pink Lady Transport AB in 2022, she brought with her over a decade of experience driving heavy-duty trucks for her father’s company. Based in Väse, Sweden, Jessica quickly made a name for herself—not just for her vibrant pink truck and bold branding, but for her commitment to sustainable transport.
In August 2025, Jessica took delivery of her newest vehicle: Pink Betty, a Volvo FH500 8x4 Aero hook-lift truck powered by liquefied biogas (LBG). The truck, custom-built and featuring a striking pink, purple, and black design with a Betty Boop motif, is more than just eye-catching, it’s a statement of purpose. As a testament to the truck’s capabilities and appeal, Pink Betty was even nominated as “Sweden’s Best Volvo” at the prestigious Trailer Trucking Festival at Mantorp Park.
“I chose an LBG truck because I believe it’s the fuel of the future,” says Jessica. “It helps to meet climate goals and is competitive. A biogas-powered truck gives me much more range than an electric one. There’s no waiting around for charging, and deliveries arrive on time.”

A perfect match for demanding work
Jessica’s work is anything but ordinary. She transports asphalt to construction sites and moves machinery between jobs. Her new LBG-powered truck has proven to be a reliable partner in this demanding role.
“The truck is stronger and handles uphill driving more efficiently,” she explains. “And I’d say the noise level outside is noticeably lower.”
With municipalities across Sweden raising environmental standards for construction and transport, Jessica’s choice of LBG has positioned her company to win more contracts. One example is Stockholm’s planned Class 3 Clean Air Zone, which will introduce the strictest emission requirements in parts of the inner city starting in 2025. Only fully electric, fuel cell, LBG, and Euro 6 CNG (gas) vehicles will be permitted for heavy transport.
This initiative highlights the growing need for fossil-free solutions like LBG, and companies like Pink Lady Transport AB are already ahead of the curve.

Gasum helps logistics companies in the clean transition
Gasum Sales Manager Claes Westling sees Pink Lady Transport AB as a prime example of how sustainable transport is accessible to everyone.
“This collaboration shows that no matter what kind of transport you have—even heavier hook-lift systems such as asphalt trucks—you can run on LBG,” says Claes Westling. “We’re helping the market see that everyone can make the switch.”
Gasum supported Jessica not only with fuel delivery but also with the application process for Klimatpremien, Sweden’s investment support for climate-friendly vehicles.
“We’ve received only positive feedback,” Claes Westling adds. “Jessica is great at marketing herself on social media, and that visibility has helped convince other truck owners on the benefits of LBG as a fuel.”
Paving the way for a fossil-free future
Jessica’s journey with Pink Lady Transport AB is far from over. She’s expanded her business by hiring her partner Jon to drive her previous truck, and she’s already thinking about the next step.
“If I order another truck in the future, it will definitely be a Volvo LBG,” she says. “I have nothing but good things to say. The reactions to Pink Betty have also been overwhelmingly positive, and it has received a lot of publicity—not just because of the pink color, but also thanks to the LBG fuel.”
With bold colors, strong values, and a clear commitment to sustainability, Pink Lady Transport AB is paving the way—literally and figuratively—for a fossil-free future.
