Gasum receives the best occupational safety level rating of the Zero Accident Forum
The assessment is based on accident frequency, severity of accidents, as well as proper investigation of accidents and incident reporting procedures.
The Zero Accident Forum of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health has granted annual occupational safety level classifications for its member workplaces. Gasum's operations in Finland received a first level rating, which is the best category.
The assessment criteria include the frequency of accidents and the severity of accidents. In addition, it is required that procedures for investigating accidents and reporting incidents are in order. The purpose of the ratings is to help companies to monitor their own safety development.
This year, a record 110 workplaces were rated by the Zero Accident Forum. Investing in occupational safety is reflected in the statistics. In 2022, an average of 26 accidents per one million hours worked occurred at all Finnish workplaces, while the corresponding average accident frequency was 9.2 at the member workplaces of the Zero Accident Forum.
The Zero Accident Forum is a network coordinated by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health that aims to motivate and encourage workplaces to strive for a high level of occupational safety and well-being. Any workplace, regardless of the level of occupational safety, size or industry, can become a member.
The Zero Accidents Forum celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The network has already 523 members.
