Gasum supports research and development in the area of sustainable energy economy through the Gasum Fund. The fund is one of the special funds run and administered by the Finnish Foundation for Technology Promotion (TES).

The Gasum Fund has been providing research grants since 2005. In recent years, total awarded grants have varied between EUR 30,000 and 70,000.

The application period for 2026 is now open and closes 12 February 2026. Applications are addressed to the TES.

  • Power system management, forecasting and optimization
  • Economic viability and sustainability of raw materials for biogas production
  • Carbon life cycle in biogas production, carbon dioxide flow (carbon capture, use and storage possibilities)
