The Riihimäki biogas plant is Gasum's latest biogas plant in Finland. The plant processes sewage sludge, biodegradable waste from food industry as well as separately collected and packaged biowaste.
Biogas from the Riihimäki plant is upgraded and compressed for injection into national gas network from which it can be distributed for a variety of uses throughout the network area. Soilfood supplies digestate as fertilizer products for agriculture.
